How to Apply

Providence Scholarships at Holy Family School

Children of employees of Providence Southwest Washington Service Area are eligible to apply for three levels of scholarship at Holy Family School. The financial value of each scholarship is substantial because of the expectation that it will be renewed for the academic life of the student at HFS.

Each scholarship is expected to be renewed annually, if:

•	The student remains in good standing; and,
•	demonstrates continued academic and behavioral growth acceptable to the school; and,
•	the student and his or her family comply with the letter and spirit of the HFS Policy Handbook; and,
•	at least one of the student’s parents or guardians living in the same household remains employed with Providence Southwest Washington Service Area.

 

The three levels of Providence Scholarships at Holy Family School include:

I. Full scholarship, without regard for need
This competitive scholarship will be awarded to an applicant based on his or her demonstration of academic ability as reflected in prior performance, results from the entrance examination and student interviews. We would expect this student to excel.

II. Full scholarship, with regard for need
This competitive scholarship will be awarded to an applicant selected from among those applicants requesting consideration based on need and will be based on his or her demonstration of academic ability as reflected in prior performance, results from the entrance examination and student interviews. Only families with gross annual income less than 12 times the current HFS annual tuition will be considered. The continued existence of financial need will be determined for each renewal. We would expect this student to excel.

III. Partial scholarship, without regard for need
These non-competitive scholarships will be awarded to applicants demonstrating acceptable prior academic performance, whose results from the entrance examination and student interviews indicate an ability to learn, grow and contribute in the HFS environment. We would expect these students to do well by achieving to their abilities

Partial scholarships will be awarded on a first-come basis and are limited by class-size availability.

HFS encourages families considering applying for any of these scholarships to do so as early as possible.

An Application Fee of $100 is due with each application for Level I or Level III Providence Scholarships. An Application Fee of $25 is due with each application for Level II Providence Scholarships. Application Fees are non-refundable.

Registration, Supplies and Lab Fees will range from $335 to $501 for the year for new students, depending on grade.
